*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.

This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.

One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.

For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

    I fish a couple estate lakes weedy and full of twins “Ronnie and Reggie” and this popup base is so awesome I can create hard and Unbelievable buoyant Hookbaits
    They have caught me so many Scaly Bangers with very little extra additives but good exceptional quality additives from AABaits
    these Hookbaits need no extra buoyancy materials to be added
    I have to use on a 16mm Hookbait 2AAA shot plus all the metalwork required for a Ronnie and they will stay popped up for days even
    after some attention from the twins I have made smaller baits but due to the twins not yet tried them

These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

    After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. This new wafter mix has now been made less buoyant, its does still allow you to add base mix (at a lower level) when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a 15mm round hook bait should be roughly, the correct buoyancy and will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of our wafter mix by adding more powders to the mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.     Use approximately 9 eggs per kilogram of dry base mix for optimal binding. This base mix will produce dark brown/deep red boilies.

    Our base mixes are tried, tested, and consistently roll perfectly. We exclusively utilize high-quality ingredients, carefully balanced at their optimal levels to produce an excellent food source.     Tip: When creating your own boilies, consider leaving some unboiled. Unboiled baits retain more nutrients and soluble attractors, leading to faster dispersal and increased feeding activity in your swim. These baits should be stored in a bucket or container to prevent damage once dried. Keep in mind, unboiled baits will not be as hard, so they are best suited for use with a throwing stick.

    We have managed to source some fantastic liquid egg. This fresh liquid egg has been made from newly laid fresh hen eggs and hasn’t been produced from seconds (hen eggs that have been cracked or broken). The liquid is quickly produced then blast frozen giving a rough self life of 5/7 days if kept refrigerated once defrosted. Our liquid bait preserve can be added (mixed together thoroughly) once defrosted extending shelf life.

    • This will leave our warehouse fully frozen and will take over 36hours to fully defrost.
    • We do ship all our goods on a next day service but please do bear in mind that courier delays do happen from time to time.
