  *Our new plain wafter mix has been formulated with less buoyancy.

  After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This new wafter mix has now been made less buoyant, its does still allow you to add base mix (at a lower level) when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a 15mm round hook bait should be roughly, the correct buoyancy and will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of our wafter mix by adding more powders to the mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.   One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 4 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

  Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg wafter mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg wafter mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both wafter mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

  For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

  This wafter mix requires boiling for roughly 90 seconds for a 12mm and 120secs for 15mm hook baits.

  *Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.

  This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing.   We are now happy to offer our premium boilie range in basemix form, we can also offer the complete liquid pack that we add to the basemix. This will allow customers to make their own boilies and paste from our extremely high quality mixes. All of our mixes have been formulated using the highest quality ingredients available along with extremely attractive additives in all the correct incision rates. Our liquid packs have also been formulated using all the best liquid foods, oils, flavours and additives in what we believe to be the best inclusion rates.

  Add 60ml liquid pack per kg base mix (our recommended inclusion rate) higher inclusion rates can be experimented with.

  Add your liquid pack to your liquid egg and mix well.

  Roughly 450ml liquid egg with 60ml liquid pack added will be enough liquid for 1kg base mix.

  Don’t forget to add bait preserve if you are wanting shelf life product. (90ml bait preserve / 360ml liquid egg / 60ml liquid pack)

  Once you have your liquid egg and liquid pack mixed together (510ml) in total, slowly add to your dry basemix until the correct consistency is achieved. Not too sticky but not too dry.

  1kg dry basemix will make roughly 1.5kg finished product.

  3.5kg basemix will make roughy 5kg finished product.

  We have managed to source some fantastic liquid egg. This fresh liquid egg has been made from newly laid fresh hen eggs and hasn’t been produced from seconds (hen eggs that have been cracked or broken). The liquid is quickly produced then blast frozen giving a rough self life of 5/7 days if kept refrigerated once defrosted. Our liquid bait preserve can be added (mixed together thoroughly) once defrosted extending shelf life.

  • This will leave our warehouse fully frozen and will take over 36hours to fully defrost.
  • We do ship all our goods on a next day service but please do bear in mind that courier delays do happen from time to time.
