Please remember it is still important to air dry your finished baits well prior to packaging, After cooking the baits it is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This wafter mix has been made on the buoyant side allowing you to add base mix when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a dumbell wafter (12mm size nozzle on a 15mm rolling table) will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of the mix by adding more powders to the wafter mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy. When adding to your own glugs & liquids we recommend adding at 2% – 5% (5ml – 12ml flavour – 250ml glug), again when using a new flavour we always advise starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
To boost your hook baits, you can use our PVA friendly Betaine liquid, DMPT liquid or Glycerine (all found under liquid foods) to dilute your chosen flavour down. Some anglers like to boost their hook baits with neat flavour whilst some like to dilute the strength down. We recommend adding the flavour at 5% (12ml flavour – 250ml booster liquid). This % can always be increased until you achieve your chosen strength. You can also add a wide variety of liquid foods etc adding more attraction to your unique booster.
All our concentrated flavours are of the highest grade/quality available on the market. As with all concentrated flavours and liquids, use in a well ventilated area and always wear safety glasses.
This is a PG based flavour which has been created with nature identical flavourings and has been carefully created to give a very appetising flavour as well as the aroma (smell), some flavours out there are mainly based on aroma chemicals (smell), with the flavour not given much thought.
New Ultra Buoyant Fishmeal Pop Up Mix
*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.
This Fishmeal pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk proteins, Egg Proteins and (CPSP 90) pre-digested fishmeal thus increasing leakage. You will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.
Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.
With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.
For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
This pop up mix requires boiling for roughly 90 seconds for a 12mm and 120secs for 15mm hook baits.
Fluoro Yellow Wafter Mix
*Our new Coloured wafter mix has been formulated with less buoyancy.
After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This wafter mix has been made on the buoyant side allowing you to add base mix when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a dumbell wafter (12mm size nozzle on a 15mm rolling table) will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of the mix by adding more powders to the wafter mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy. FTX Fluorcarbon Main Line
The mist grey colour tint applied to this exceptional, high-performance Fluorocarbon main line radically reduces visibility in situations where it is held off the lakebed by weed or steep-sided, topographical features. Standard white Fluorocarbon ‘glows’ in daylight as soon as it collects particulate, but the unique tint of FTX effectively absorbs most of this light, making it far less visible in this scenario.
