Description

Belachan block is fermented shrimp paste, it is a salty, strong smelling block that is used to create deep flavours in Malaysian dishes… and carp find it highly attractive. The solid block can be grated down with a cheese grater and used in many applications such as pellets, particles,  base mixes, method, spod or stick mixes making a great attractor.

Our Belachan Blocks weigh 250g.

Recommend inclusion level is up 75 per kg base mix, when grated down with a cheese grater.

To do so, they chose to develop a unique and pioneering technology to rear and transform the Hermetia illucens (Black Soldier Fly) for animal and plant nutrition. More than 100 types of co-products evaluated and 200 recipes tested in order to design the substrate that today perfectly meets the nutritional needs of the larvae at each stage of development (Make sure your supply has been fed correctly & isn’t being fed any old waste).  High in protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins, it offers numerous environmental benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower land use. Rest assured our supplier is the leading manufacture of BSF products, their biotechnology facility is the largest BSF production plant in the world, with sections that could be mistaken for a science laboratory.     Tips

    •  Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
    • We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
    • 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
    • Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

Not only does this mix contain Green lipped mussel it also includes Krill meal, both are absolutely rammed with attraction. They are extremely well know for there outstanding results. If that isn’t enough we have also added the most pungent and powerful soluble fishmeal attractor available, which has created a seriously devastating groundbait. It has been designed to hold together allowing it to reach the bottom of the lake bed before it starts to break down. Can be balled, cupped, used in method feeder, used as a stick mix or as a paste.

    This Creamy B+ (Double Strength) is more on the creamy side compared to our Milk E+ (which is still creamy but is based on vanilla & coconut), were this newly source version is based on dairy cream. These powder additives are widely used to enhance the palatability & intake of feeds & flavours, this highly attractive additive has been used in our industry for some time, it is made from a combination of Lactones and Aldehydes. when using in conjunction with other additives we recommend a starting point of 5-10g per kg base mix.

    Potassium sorbate (E202) is present in many human food stuffs and drinks. It has also been tested as safe to use in aquatic environments. Can be used by dissolving in to your liquids/liquid egg to preserve your boilie and paste mixes. Potassium sorbate is ideal to use in boilies as it survives the boiling process – it has a melting point of 134°C and a boiling point of 228°C…well above the temperature of boiling baits.

    Recommended inclusion level is 0.1% of your liquid. (450ml liquid – 1g potassium sorbate). You can also add citric acid which will increase the preserving properties.  When using potassium sorbate we advise testing small batches to see how long your unique mix with stay preserved.

    It is also important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

    This fantastic fermented shrimp paste is a very similar makeup to liquid belachan. This paste is more pure than the solid belachan block version due to not having any bulk fillers and also takes away the hassle of grating it down. The shrimp content is also very high around 65%, the shrimp is crushed then salt added for preservative, once dried it is then mixed with Lactic Acid Bacteria and left to ferment, whilst being left its proteins are broken down which then realise a wide range of free form amino acids, used by many anglers in there baits and mixes, one definitely not to nee over looked.

    Recommend inclusion level is up to 40g per kg base mix.
