Tips
- Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
- We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
- 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
- Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

We have managed to source a new hydrolysed pork liver powder. This is a fantastic alternative to our chicken and beef liver powder and all offers a great cost saving. Liver powder is a great addition to any bait, great for pretty much any bait application. We have managed to source a sustainable top quality insect protein meal, this black solider fly (BSF) meal is the de-fatted version, which is very important when including it in any bait due to the high levels of saturated fats which congeal and can become solid at almost room temperature. This meal is now being widely used in the fishing bait and animal feed industry. Please take consideration in to the amount used in bottom baits, due to the light nature of this product it will add buoyancy to baits.
