Over the last few years, we have worked tremendously hard sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, liquids, and additives available from all over the globe. Many of our new products are now exclusive to AA Baits, which allows us to formulate and offer the very best, premium quality in-house mixes, available on the market. That being said, we do keep a handful of specially sourced products close to our chest, making our mixes stand out from the rest 😉. In order for all our customers to receive a premium mix at a very fair price, we have always supplied direct. Cutting out the middle man allows us to operate using all our finest ingredients and stimulants. This also allows our finest products to be used at optimal levels.

HNV Tigernut base mix is made using pure tigernut products, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), balanced and nutritional proteins making this a very attractive sweet mix. Suitable all year round this is a great addition to your bait armoury.

We recommend the inclusion of tigernut extract in the bait at levels between 30 / 50ml per kg of dry mix.

Use approximately 8 eggs per Kg of dry mix.

All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

Contains: Large amount of Tigernut Flour, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), CLO, Hemp Powder, In house blend of high end milk powders, Egg albumen and Betaine to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

    Tips

    •  Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
    • We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
    • 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
    • Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

    After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This wafter mix has been made on the buoyant side allowing you to add base mix when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a dumbell wafter (12mm size nozzle on a 15mm rolling table) will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of the mix by adding more powders to the wafter mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.     This extremely strong crab flavour has an aroma that you will never ever forget. This super pungent essence has proved to be one of the most successful bait flavours ever used on the market. It is a notorious carp catching flavour. It is also particularly effective when used with Black Pepper oil.

    Recommended inclusion levels for this concentrate are 3-10ml per kg base mix.The lower level comes through nicely and the high level comes through strong. We have actually tested this concentrate up to 20ml per kg base mix with excellent results.

    For high attract pop ups we recommend adding up to 3ml per 1 egg mix.

    This concentrate CAN NOT be added to the liquid egg neat, it must be added to the liquid pack first.

    Please note: This is a strong flavour so a little goes a long way. Also we would not recommend using in the house as this one has a very very strong aroma.

These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

    For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

    One egg will take approximately 100-120 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

    This pop up mix needs to be boiled for 90 seconds.

    HNV Superseed basemix has been formulated from various seeds, including Meggablend, CLO and Hemp alongside milk and egg proteins to provide a valuable food source, that is suitable for year round use. The added high quality ingredients makes this HNV mix ideal for long term baiting campaigns.

    This mix will take on any flavour and colour combination well.

    It will take approximately 9 eggs per Kg of dry basemix.

    Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

    TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.
