*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.

This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.

One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.

    After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.     We have managed to source some fantastic liquid egg. This fresh liquid egg has been made from newly laid fresh hen eggs and hasn’t been produced from seconds (hen eggs that have been cracked or broken). The liquid is quickly produced then blast frozen giving a rough self life of 5/7 days if kept refrigerated once defrosted. Our liquid bait preserve can be added (mixed together thoroughly) once defrosted extending shelf life.

    • This will leave our warehouse fully frozen and will take over 36hours to fully defrost.
    • We do ship all our goods on a next day service but please do bear in mind that courier delays do happen from time to time.
