  Over the last few years, we have worked tremendously hard sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, liquids, and additives available from all over the globe.   This Superseed basemix has been formulated from various seeds including Meggablend, Clo and Hemp powder alongside Milk proteins to provide a valuable food source that is suitable for year round use.

  This mix will take on any flavour and colour combination well.

  It will take approximately 9 eggs per Kg of dry basemix.

  All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

  Contains: Meggablend, CLO, Hemp Powder, Milk & Egg proteins to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

  Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

  TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

  AA Baits Original Plain Pop Up Mix

  This pop-up mix will make very buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant in excess of 48 hours. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.

  Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

  For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

  One egg will take approximately 100-120 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

  This pop up mix needs to be boiled for 90 seconds.

  Plain Wafter Mix (New)

  *Our new plain wafter mix has been formulated with less buoyancy.

  After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This new wafter mix has now been made less buoyant, its does still allow you to add base mix (at a lower level) when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a 15mm round hook bait should be roughly, the correct buoyancy and will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of our wafter mix by adding more powders to the mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.
