Our BSF meal has been sourced from a biotechnology company, and leading insect producer for animal and plant nutrition. To do so, they chose to develop a unique and pioneering technology to rear and transform the Hermetia illucens (Black Soldier Fly) for animal and plant nutrition. More than 100 types of co-products evaluated and 200 recipes tested in order to design the substrate that today perfectly meets the nutritional needs of the larvae at each stage of development (Make sure your supply has been fed correctly & isn’t being fed any old waste). High in protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins, it offers numerous environmental benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower land use. Rest assured our supplier is the leading manufacture of BSF products, their biotechnology facility is the largest BSF production plant in the world, with sections that could be mistaken for a science laboratory. Tips
- Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
- We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
- 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
- Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

This world wide multi-billon pound company produce only the best nutritional and extremely attractive hydrolysates available. This absolutely outstanding ultra soluble hydrolysate is packed with free form amino acids and also offers great palpability which in turn gives a much higher feed intake.
These premium hydrolysate liquids go through an intense 5 stage process, where carefully selected natural enzymes are used to completely break down the protein into single amino acids, creating an ultra soluble and palatable hydrolysate. A good way to check the quality of the hydrolysate is to mix it in water. The hydrolysate should fully dissolve, leaving no deposits sitting at the bottom, once settled.

Bait Boost Powder

We have formulated a premium grade additive in-house. It contains a mixture of the highest quality additives available. One being a very high grade, high nucleotide yeast which consists of the cell contents and the cell walls of brewers’ yeast. These are extracted by gentle and effective hydrolysis processes from their natural matrix so that the individual cell components are able to optimally take their full effects and become easily available. This fantastic bait boost powder has also been formulated with two other additives that offer a very, very powerful antibacterial and anti fugal properties. The last two additives are a highly attractive feed stimulant with a mixture of sweetener’s. This is a definite for a long term bait, this will not only offer attraction and improve feed intake but will also help with protection from bacterial infections. This additive offers such a wide range of benefits for the welfare of the fish, helping them thrive, protecting them from disease and improving feed intake.
