Belachan block is fermented shrimp paste, it is a salty, strong smelling block that is used to create deep flavours in Malaysian dishes… and carp find it highly attractive. The solid block can be grated down with a cheese grater and used in many applications such as pellets, particles, base mixes, method, spod or stick mixes making a great attractor.

This high food grade Blue cheese powder is a flavourful ingredient made from dried and ground blue cheese, used to add a rich, tangy flavour to your bait. The powder retains the distinctive characteristics of blue cheese, making it the perfect and very successful fish attractant. This fantastic fermented shrimp paste is a very similar makeup to liquid belachan. This paste is more pure than the solid belachan block version due to not having any bulk fillers and also takes away the hassle of grating it down. The shrimp content is also very high around 65%, the shrimp is crushed then salt added for preservative, once dried it is then mixed with Lactic Acid Bacteria and left to ferment, whilst being left its proteins are broken down which then realise a wide range of free form amino acids, used by many anglers in there baits and mixes, one definitely not to nee over looked.
