Our Spicy SKS Hookbaits have been developed to perfectly complement the Spicy SKS boilie range, carrying the same distinctive Squid, Krill & Shrimp marine profile and warming spice characteristics into a purpose-built hookbait formulation enhanced by our intensive three-stage high-pressure vacuum infusion process.
These aren’t simply standard hookbaits coated in flavour.
Considerable development has gone into the flavour enhancers, amino acid stimulants, sweeteners and liquid packages used within them, with each finished hookbait repeatedly vacuum infused to draw attraction deep into the core of the bait.
Available as Pop-Ups, Wafters and Hard Hookers, the range gives you the flexibility to fish the Spicy SKS profile across virtually any presentation.
THE SPICY SKS PROFILE
The hookbaits carry the same distinctive marine, savoury and subtly warming spicy profile developed for our Spicy SKS food bait.
The original boilie is built around premium marine ingredients including Norwegian LT94 Fishmeal, CPSP90 Pre-Digested Fishmeal, Krill Meal, Squid Meal, Shrimp Hydrolysate, Full Fat Green Lipped Mussel, Beef Liver and marine hydrolysates, complemented by our carefully developed chilli and flavour systems.
Our signature spice profile incorporates premium chilli products including Kingfisher Red (Natural), while our in-house flavour enhancement system uses carefully selected food-grade and feed-safe flavour components formulated primarily around taste, not aroma.
We don’t formulate a hookbait simply to produce the strongest possible smell when the pot is opened. We want the combination of marine food signals, spice, flavour and feeding stimulants to provide a meaningful stimulus when a carp actually investigates, tastes and takes the bait.
That certainly doesn’t mean Spicy SKS lacks aroma. The hookbaits have a distinctive, rich marine profile, but without relying on aggressive levels of aroma-led chemicals simply to make them smell excessively strong.

Every Spicy SKS Hookbait undergoes our intensive three-stage high-pressure vacuum infusion process.
Rather than simply soaking or coating the finished bait, each stage is designed to draw a different attraction package deep into its structure.
Stage 1 – Amino Acid Feed Stimulation
The first infusion introduces our proprietary 100% soluble amino acid feed-inducing stimulant, providing highly soluble food signals designed to encourage investigation and feeding.Stage 2 – Sweetener, Betaine & Feeding Response

Because the liquids are infused throughout the bait rather than simply applied to its surface, the hookbait contains attraction from the outside right through to the core.
Once submerged, soluble amino acids, feeding stimulants, sweeteners, Betaine and flavour components can begin leaking into the surrounding water.
This provides an immediate signal while allowing attraction to continue releasing over an extended period.
One of our infused liquids also creates a localised pH shift, adding a further investigation signal around the hookbait.

BUILT TO COMPLEMENT SPICY SKS
The attraction philosophy behind the hookbaits follows the same principles as the Spicy SKS boilie itself.
The food bait combines premium fishmeals, marine proteins, hydrolysates, chilli products, functional yeasts, Betaine, vitamins and minerals with a sophisticated post-production liquid package containing ingredients such as MegaMino, hydrolysed marine proteins, Fruit Amino, Hydrolysed Yeast Liquid and Pure Salmon Oil.
Our hookbaits take that same food-led philosophy and concentrate it into a purpose-built presentation designed to sit at the centre of the feeding situation.
The aim isn’t to make the hookbait completely alien to the surrounding food.
It’s to create a concentrated extension of the Spicy SKS food signal.

Our in-house flavour enhancers are formulated using a blend of high-quality, food-grade, and feed-safe ingredients, including oleoresins, essential oils, premium liquid hydrolysates, sweeteners, NHDC sweetener, and our proprietary soluble amino acid stimulant. All our flavours are based on taste rather than aroma. Flavours formulated based on aroma utilise completely different chemicals, but our focus remains on creating flavours that taste pleasant rather than just smelling strong. Meat Meal 55 is a high-protein, processed animal protein ingredient produced in the UK from Category 3 animal by-products. It is manufactured exclusively from materials derived from animals passed fit for human consumption prior to processing, making it a safe, consistent and nutritionally valuable ingredient for all fishing bait and feed formulations.

Recommended Inclusion Rates
For boilie base mixes, we recommend using 5–10ml per kg of base mix. If you’re using this flavour for the first time, make a small test batch and begin at the lower inclusion rate before increasing to suit your preferred flavour intensity.
For high-attract pop-ups and wafters, use up to 5ml per 1 egg mix. As every bait recipe is different, don’t hesitate to experiment until you achieve the perfect balance of flavour and attraction.
Blueberry Flavour for Glugs & Liquid Attractors
Our Blueberry Flavour Concentrate is ideal for making your own carp glugs, bait soaks and liquid attractors.
We recommend an inclusion rate of 2–5% (5–12ml per 250ml of liquid). Start at the lower rate and increase gradually until you achieve the desired aroma and flavour profile.
Hook Bait Booster Guide
For boosted hook baits, dilute the Blueberry Flavour Concentrate with our PVA Friendly Betaine Liquid, DMPT Liquid, or Glycerine (available in our Liquid Foods range).
A recommended starting point is 5% flavour (12ml per 250ml of booster liquid). This can be increased to create a stronger attractor if required. You can also combine the flavour with liquid foods, amino blends and other attractants to produce your own customised hook bait booster.

Unlike many bait flavours that focus primarily on aroma, our Blueberry Flavour Concentrate has been carefully developed to provide both an appetising blueberry taste and a rich fruity scent. Pear Drops Concentrate

Recommended inclusion levels are 4-8ml per kg base mix. When using a new flavour we always advise creating a small batch of baits and starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
For high attract pop ups & wafters we recommend adding up to 4 ml per 1 egg mix, some flavours are stronger than others so don’t be afraid to experiment.
When adding to your own glugs & liquids we recommend adding at 2% – 5% (5ml – 12ml flavour – 250ml glug), again when using a new flavour we always advise starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
To boost your hook baits, you can use our PVA friendly Betaine liquid, DMPT liquid or Glycerine (all found under liquid foods) to dilute your chosen flavour down. Some anglers like to boost their hook baits with neat flavour whilst some like to dilute the strength down. We recommend adding the flavour at 5% (12ml flavour – 250ml booster liquid). This % can always be increased until you achieve your chosen strength. You can also add a wide variety of liquid foods etc adding more attraction to your unique booster.
All our concentrated flavours are of the highest grade/quality available on the market. As with all concentrated flavours and liquids, use in a well ventilated area and always wear safety glasses.
This is a PG based flavour which has been created with nature identical flavourings and has been carefully created to give flavour as well as the aroma (smell), some flavours out there are mainly based on aroma chemicals (smell), with the flavour not given much thought.

This fantastic sweetener has a slight cream taste and is around 1500/1800 times sweeter than table sugar. This ultra strong sweetener won’t leave any bitter after taste and lingers in the mouth for some time. An important synergetic quality of NHDC is the enhancing sweet effect if it is combined with other sweeteners. This is many times higher than if you solely use NHDC or a single sweetener. This is where the real power lies! It amplifies the perception of other sweeteners and flavours and is absolutely essential in every sweet bait. A high quality NHDC sweetener will leave a sensory feel in the mouth (almost like a fresh airwaves chewing gum).
