New Ultra Buoyant Fluoro Orange Pop Up Mix

*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.

This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.

One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.

Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.

For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

This pop up mix requires boiling for roughly 90 seconds for a 12mm and 120secs for 15mm hook baits.

One not to be missed.

*Now contains our newly sourced feed stimulants.

Over the last few years, we have worked tremendously hard sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, liquids, and additives available from all over the globe. Many of our new products are now exclusive to AA Baits, which allows us to formulate and offer the very best, premium quality in-house mixes, available on the market. That being said, we do keep a handful of specially sourced products close to our chest, making our mixes stand out from the rest 😉. In order for all our customers to receive a premium mix at a very fair price, we have always supplied direct. Cutting out the middle man allows us to operate using all our finest ingredients and stimulants. This also allows our finest products to be used at optimal levels.

HNV Super Red has been formulated using only the finest quality ingredients, it is a well balanced base mix with an inclusion of some of the best seeds available and ground tiger nuts. This mix has a balanced protein content and good nutritional value making it ideal for long term baiting campaigns. With the addition of Kingfisher Red (Natural) and appetite stimulators including betaine this mix comes ready to roll.

With the high inclusion of Kingfisher Red Natural, this dry mix has a noticeably red appearance. However, as the natural colouring in Kingfisher Red is not as intense as the synthetic version, once the baits are finished they will be dark brown with a subtle hint of red.

Approximately 9eggs per Kg of dry base mix.

All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

Contains: Large amount of Kingfisher Red (Natural), Red Meggablend, Genuine CLO, Hemp Powder, Mixture of Nut ingredients, Combination of high end Milk & Egg proteins and Betaine to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

Example – Our Base Mix 85% , Variety of chosen ingredients 15%. Please see below as an example. Happy rolling and tight lines.

    AABaits Basemix – 85%

    Premium attract  – 5%

    L-Lysine Powder – 2.5%

    Liver Powder – 5%

    Spices – 2.5%

TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

Soluble Pea Protein 82% – Food Grade

Our Soluble Pea Protein 82% is a premium food-grade, high-protein and water-soluble pea protein, offering an exciting ingredient for modern fishing bait, boilie and aquaculture formulations.

Containing an impressive 82% protein, this refined pea protein provides a highly concentrated source of plant-based protein while also offering excellent solubility. This makes it particularly interesting for bait formulations where both nutritional value and the release of soluble attraction into the water are important.

A Highly Soluble Protein for Fishing Bait

Unlike our coarser 75% Feed Grade Pea Protein, this premium food-grade version is much finer and significantly more soluble.

When incorporated into boilies and other fishing baits, its soluble fractions can begin releasing into the surrounding water, helping create a readily available food signal around the bait.

This makes Soluble Pea Protein 82% particularly useful when formulating high-attract boilies, hookbaits, pastes, groundbaits, stick mixes and other soluble bait products.

    A Sustainable Alternative Protein Source

Pea protein is becoming increasingly popular throughout the aquaculture, animal nutrition and fishing bait industries as manufacturers search for sustainable alternative protein sources.

Its high protein content and useful amino acid profile make it an excellent ingredient for combining with fishmeals, marine proteins and other nutritional ingredients. It can also be used to replace a proportion of the fishmeal within certain formulations, helping diversify the overall protein profile of the finished bait.

For bait makers, this provides an interesting way of introducing a high-quality plant protein without sacrificing overall protein content, while its solubility offers an additional attraction benefit.

    Key Benefits

    • 82% protein
    • Premium food-grade quality
    • High water solubility
    • Fine, refined consistency
    • Excellent source of soluble protein
    • Sustainable plant-based protein source
    • Useful alternative or complementary protein to fishmeal
    • Helps increase the soluble protein fraction of fishing baits
    • Excellent for nutritional and high-attract formulations
    • Suitable for both commercial bait manufacturers and home bait makers

    Fishing Bait Applications

Soluble Pea Protein 82% can be incorporated into a wide variety of fishing bait formulations, including:

    Boilies • Hookbaits • Pastes • Groundbaits • Stick Mixes • PVA Bag Mixes • High-Attract Baits

It works particularly well alongside fishmeals, hydrolysed proteins, milk proteins, yeasts and other soluble ingredients when creating nutritionally attractive baits with excellent leakage characteristics.

    Recommended Inclusion

Suggested starting inclusion: 50–250g per kg of base mix.

Lower inclusion levels can be used to introduce an additional soluble protein fraction to an existing recipe, while higher levels allow Soluble Pea Protein to contribute more significantly to the overall protein content and characteristics of the finished bait.

As with any functional bait ingredient, we recommend testing inclusion levels within your individual formulation to achieve the desired binding, texture, solubility and breakdown characteristics.

Whether you’re looking for a soluble protein for boilie making, a sustainable alternative to fishmeal, or simply a new high-protein ingredient to enhance an existing formulation, our Food Grade Soluble Pea Protein 82% offers bait makers an extremely versatile option.
