Tips
- Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
- We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
- 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
- Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

Our Ocean + Groundbait has been formulated with a mixture of highest quality fishmeal’s and soluble hydrolysate powders available, along with a mixture of highly attractive additives and feed stimulants. This mix contain’s pure green lipped mussel, krill meal, shrimp meal and squid meal, all are absolutely rammed with attraction and nutritional goodness. We have also included a mixture of the highest grade, ultra soluble hydrolysate powders available and if that isn’t enough we have also added the most pungent and powerful soluble fishmeal attractor available (CPSP 90), which has created a seriously devastating soluble groundbait. These premium pastes have been expertly formulated using the purest ingredients, additives, liquids, and flavours available. Designed with both high attraction and feed stimulation in mind, they also boast exceptional nutritional properties, incorporating as many soluble additives and feed stimulants as possible.
Each paste contains our in-house bait boost powder, crafted from a blend of the highest quality yeasts. This includes high-nucleotide yeast, which consists of cell contents and cell walls of brewers’ yeast, extracted through gentle and effective hydrolysis processes. This allows the individual cell components to provide maximum benefits. The powder also features two additional additives with proven powerful antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, alongside potent feed stimulants.
Our custom-formulated in-house flavour enhancers are also incorporated. These are not your average flavours; they have been carefully developed using a variety of food-grade and feed-safe ingredients, including oleoresins, essential oils, premium liquid hydrolysates, NHDC sweetener, and our proprietary soluble amino acid stimulant—resulting in highly attractive, taste-based flavours. HNV Super Red has been formulated using only the finest quality ingredients, it is a well balanced base mix with an inclusion of some of the best seeds available and ground tiger nuts.This mix has a balanced protein content and good nutritional value making it ideal for long term baiting campaigns. With the addition of Kingfisher Red (Natural) and appetite stimulators including betaine this mix comes ready to roll.
This mix will produce red boilies due to the high inclusion of Kingfisher Red.
Approximately 9eggs per Kg of dry base mix.
All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.
Contains: Large amount of Kingfisher Red (Natural), Red Meggablend, Genuine CLO, Hemp Powder, Mixture of Nut ingredients, Combination of high end Milk & Egg proteins and Betaine to name just a few ingredients in this mix.
Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.
Brown Crumb
Top Quality Pure Breadcrumb with excellent binding qualities, Breadcrumb will add binding & texture to most mixes. Bread crumbs have been used in the fishing bait industry since day one. Use up to 50% in groundbaits/stick mixes and up to 10% in boilie mixes.

Recommended inclusion levels are 5-10ml per kg base mix. When using a new flavour we always advise creating a small batch of baits and starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
For high attract pop ups & wafters we recommend adding up to 5 ml per 1 egg mix, some flavours are stronger than others so don’t be afraid to experiment.
When adding to your own glugs & liquids we recommend adding at 2% – 5% (5ml – 12ml flavour – 250ml glug), again when using a new flavour we always advise starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
To boost your hook baits, you can use our PVA friendly Betaine liquid, DMPT liquid or Glycerine (all found under liquid foods) to dilute your chosen flavour down. Some anglers like to boost their hook baits with neat flavour whilst some like to dilute the strength down. We recommend adding the flavour at 5% (12ml flavour – 250ml booster liquid). This % can always be increased until you achieve your chosen strength. You can also add a wide variety of liquid foods etc adding more attraction to your unique booster.
All our concentrated flavours are of the highest grade/quality available on the market. As with all concentrated flavours and liquids, use in a well ventilated area and always wear safety glasses.
This is a PG based flavour which has been created with nature identical flavourings and has been carefully created to give flavour as well as the aroma (smell), some flavours out there are mainly based on aroma chemicals (smell), with the flavour not given much thought.
