Tips
- You can add our sweet whey powder to increase binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. Add to the dry mix, then mix very well before wetting.
- We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard.
- 1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
- Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

A good way to check the quality of the hydrolysate is to mix it in water. The hydrolysate should fully dissolve, leaving no deposits sitting at the bottom, once settled.

Our in-house flavour enhancers are meticulously crafted using a blend of food-grade and feed-safe ingredients, including oleoresins, essential oils, premium liquid hydrolysates, sweeteners, NHDC sweetener, and our proprietary soluble amino acid stimulant. All our flavours are designed based on taste rather than aroma. Liver Concentrate

Recommended inclusion levels are 5-10ml per kg base mix. When using a new flavour we always advise creating a small batch of baits and starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
For high attract pop ups & wafters we recommend adding up to 5 ml per 1 egg mix, some flavours are stronger than others so don’t be afraid to experiment.
When adding to your own glugs & liquids we recommend adding at 2% – 5% (5ml – 12ml flavour – 250ml glug), again when using a new flavour we always advise starting with the lower recommended level, you can then add more going forward until you achieve your desired aroma.
To boost your hook baits, you can use our PVA friendly Betaine liquid, DMPT liquid or Glycerine (all found under liquid foods) to dilute your chosen flavour down. Some anglers like to boost their hook baits with neat flavour whilst some like to dilute the strength down. We recommend adding the flavour at 5% (12ml flavour – 250ml booster liquid). This % can always be increased until you achieve your chosen strength. You can also add a wide variety of liquid foods etc adding more attraction to your unique booster.
All our concentrated flavours are of the highest grade/quality available on the market. As with all concentrated flavours and liquids, use in a well ventilated area and always wear safety glasses.
This is a PG based flavour which has been created with nature identical flavourings and has been carefully created to give flavour as well as the aroma (smell), some flavours out there are mainly based on aroma chemicals (smell), with the flavour not given much thought.

This fantastic sweetener has a slight cream taste and is around 1500/1800 times sweeter than table sugar. This ultra strong sweetener won’t leave any bitter after taste and lingers in the mouth for some time. An important synergetic quality of NHDC is the enhancing sweet effect if it is combined with other sweeteners. This is many times higher than if you solely use NHDC or a single sweetener. This is where the real power lies! It amplifies the perception of other sweeteners and flavours and is absolutely essential in every sweet bait. A high quality NHDC sweetener will leave a sensory feel in the mouth (almost like a fresh airwaves chewing gum).

HNV Tigernut base mix is made using pure tigernut products, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), balanced and nutritional proteins making this a very attractive sweet mix. Suitable all year round this is a great addition to your bait armoury.
We recommend the inclusion of tigernut extract in the bait at levels between 30 / 50ml per kg of dry mix.
Use approximately 8 eggs per Kg of dry mix.
All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.
Contains: Large amount of Tigernut Flour, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), CLO, Hemp Powder, In house blend of high end milk powders, Egg albumen and Betaine to name just a few ingredients in this mix.
Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.
DMPT
Dimethyl propiothetin (DMPT) is an algae metabolite. It is a natural sulfur-containing compound (thio betaine) and is considered the strongest attractor available. In several lab- and field tests DMPT comes out as the best feed inducing stimulant ever tested. DMPT not only improves feed intake, but also acts as a water soluble hormone-like substance. DMPT also enhances the ability to cope with stress associated with catch / transportation of fish and other aquatic animals.
Recommended inclusion level is 0.5g to 2g per Kg of base mix, (hook bait base mix only). Can be used up to 2g per Litre of liquid in bait soaks/dips. With this ultra-strong additive, less is more. If used too much the bait WILL NOT be taken.
Always use gloves, do not taste / ingest or inhale, keep away from eyes, pets and children.
Use only in hookbaits (lures) which will not be digested.
It is not allowed to be fed to fish and animals in general according to EU decree 1831/2003.
Hemp Seed (Large-Chinese)
Larger Chinese Hemp – Great split rate.
Hemp Seed is a very well known fishing bait that has stood the test of time for all types of fishing, used on most waters hemp has produced some fantastic results catching a wide variety of fish. With struggling to source our premium cleaned and graded Chinese (much larger) seed, we are now also offering the French seed (smaller seed). Hemp seed offers a very good protein content 30%+, full of essential amnio acids and not forgetting oily (great lipid/energy source) you can see why this is extremely attractive to ALL coarse fish. The split rate has also been very impressive making this a massively popular particle which is perfect for building an oily highly attractive baited area.
CAUTION: All dry particles and nuts will absorb water and expand once submerged, for this reason they MUST all be prepared correctly (Soaked for a given time and cooked for a given time). Failure to prepare properly can be deadly to fish.
TO PREPARE: Soak for a minimum of 24 hours then boil for 30 minutes.
Note: Once cooked you can also add liquid foods, oils or bait additives of your choice to add even more attraction.
Squid Addarome + Powder
This powerful squid addarome + powder packs a powerful punch (caution when opening in confined spaces, especially in you’re home). This is an old time classic Squid & octopus flavoured powder and aids with palatability. When using in conjunction with flavours/additives we recommend keeping to the lower side of the inclusion levels.
Recommended inclusion level is around 2-10g per kg base mix.
New Ultra Buoyant Fluoro Orange Pop Up Mix
*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.
This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.
One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.
Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.
With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.
For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
This pop up mix requires boiling for roughly 90 seconds for a 12mm and 120secs for 15mm hook baits.
Minamino
Minamino is a highly soluble mix of liquid liver and spleen, which includes 10 essential amino acids, B vitamins & minerals, this is one of the most complete liquid foods available. It has a subtle raspberry flavour that makes it instantly recognisable. It is one of the most used/successful non-oil based liquid bait additives ever used in the bait industry.
