  Over the last few years, we have worked tremendously hard sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, liquids, and additives available from all over the globe. Many of our new products are now exclusive to AA Baits, which allows us to formulate and offer the very best, premium quality in-house mixes, available on the market. That being said, we do keep a handful of specially sourced products close to our chest, making our mixes stand out from the rest 😉. In order for all our customers to receive a premium mix at a very fair price, we have always supplied direct. Cutting out the middle man allows us to operate using all our finest ingredients and stimulants. This also allows our finest products to be used at optimal levels.

  This fish-meal base mix contains a large amount of high quality Norwegian (LT-94) fishmeal, milk and egg proteins, kelp meal, soya flour and CLO, this mix has been formulated to provide a balanced food source that is suitable for use in summer and winter months. Rolls easy and works very well.

  This mix requires approximately 9 eggs per Kg of dry mix.

  All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

  Contains : Large Amount of Norwegian LT94 Fishmeal, Salmon Fishmeal, CLO, Kelp Meal and milk & egg proteins to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

  Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

  TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

  HNV Tigernut base mix is made using pure tigernut products, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), balanced and nutritional proteins making this a very attractive sweet mix. Suitable all year round this is a great addition to your bait armoury.

  We recommend the inclusion of tigernut extract in the bait at levels between 30 / 50ml per kg of dry mix.

  Plain Wafter Mix (New)

  *Our new plain wafter mix has been formulated with less buoyancy.

  After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This new wafter mix has now been made less buoyant, its does still allow you to add base mix (at a lower level) when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a 15mm round hook bait should be roughly, the correct buoyancy and will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of our wafter mix by adding more powders to the mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy. Add both wafter mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.

It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

  This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll.   This base mix is made with milk proteins and food grade ingredients this 50/50 mix is ideal for customizing your own baits allowing you to add any of your chosen ingredients (50% – 50/50 base mix,  50% your chosen ingredients) for a totally different baiting approach. It is advised to add oil when making this mix. Please read below for an example on how we recommend this basemix is to be used.
