  HNV Tigernut base mix is made using pure tigernut products, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), balanced and nutritional proteins making this a very attractive sweet mix. Suitable all year round this is a great addition to your bait armoury.

  We recommend the inclusion of tigernut extract in the bait at levels between 30 / 50ml per kg of dry mix.

  Use approximately 8 eggs per Kg of dry mix.

  All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

  Contains: Large amount of Tigernut Flour, In-house blend of nut meals, Peanut protein (soluble), CLO, Hemp Powder, In house blend of high end milk powders, Egg albumen and Betaine to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

  Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

  TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

  Fluoro Yellow Wafter Mix

  *Our new Coloured wafter mix has been formulated with less buoyancy.

  After being asked many many times for a wafter mix we are extremely happy to offer this superb mix. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force. This wafter mix has been made on the buoyant side allowing you to add base mix when creating matching hook baits. When being used without any other powders added to the mix a dumbell wafter (12mm size nozzle on a 15mm rolling table) will sit nicely using a size 4 hook with a ring swivel. There is always going to be a little trial and error when creating these sort of hook baits, you can alter the buoyancy of the mix by adding more powders to the wafter mix until you achieve your desired waft. Make sure you write everything down in percentages, you can then alter your percentages until you achieve your required buoyancy, also remember the buoyancy will increase slightly as the hook bait dries out, vice versa once the hook baits takes no water it will decrease the buoyancy.   For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
