Our Mega Mix Pellets are a devastating blend of premium-quality Coppens, Skretting, Bloodworm, and Krill pellets, designed to attract and hold fish for extended periods. Featuring pellet sizes ranging from 5mm to 20mm, this mix is perfect for anglers targeting larger fish and creating a sustained feeding area.
Manufactured using some of the finest aquaculture feed pellets available, each pellet contains over 40% protein, providing exceptional nutritional value and a powerful feeding trigger that fish simply can’t ignore.
We’ve made our Mega Mix even better with the addition of premium-grade LT-94 fishmeal. This high-quality fishmeal binds to the surface of each pellet, creating a powerful cloud of attraction as the pellets break down. Rich in natural amino acids and feeding stimulants, LT-94 helps draw fish into your swim from a wider area and encourages prolonged feeding activity.
We’ve further improved the pellet composition by incorporating our very own:
The varied pellet sizes and compositions break down at different rates, continuously releasing oils, amino acids, and appetite stimulants throughout the water column. This creates a long-lasting feeding response that keeps fish actively searching and feeding.
Now enhanced with 6mm Coppens Krill Pellets and LT-94 Fishmeal, Mega Mix delivers even greater attraction and feeding stimulation, making it an excellent choice for both coarse and specimen anglers.
Ideal for:
*Please note that you will need to add more of the new pop up mix to your liquid egg than with our original mix, not adding enough pop up mix with create really soft pop ups. You need to add as much pop up mix as you can, stopping just before the dough goes too dry.
This pop-up mix will make extremely buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant for days (we tested a 12mm for 5 days). We have been asked over and over again for a pop-up mix that is buoyant enough for a 12mm hook bait to hold a size 4 hook up with a ring swivel, look no further this pop-up does just that. The 12mm hook baits we have experimented with have stayed popped up for 5 days, we then stopped testing. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.
One egg will take approximately 80-100 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.
Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.
With this mix being so buoyant it allows you to add extra base mix when creating wafters.
For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
This pop up mix requires boiling for roughly 90 seconds for a 12mm and 120secs for 15mm hook baits.
Our AABaits Fishmeal Pop-Up Mix has been refined to improve handling and make rolling easier, while adding slightly more structure to the core. It now matches the buoyancy of the discontinued Ultra Buoyant Fishmeal Pop-Up Mix.
This mix can be used with either water or liquid egg, alongside bait preservative. When using water and bait preservative, the finished baits will still be sufficiently firm. For those who prefer a harder finish, using liquid egg with bait preservative will increase firmness slightly compared to water.
For best results, always weigh your liquids (egg or water) and powders accurately. Pop-up mixes require precise measurements, so we recommend using scales accurate to at least 0.1g to ensure consistency.
This mix produces extremely buoyant hook baits that will remain popped up for days. In our tank tests, 12mm pop-ups tied to a thinking anglers size 4 curved shank hook with a micro ring bait swivel remained buoyant for over 7 days (testing was stopped at that point). This mix is also ideal for incorporating your own base mixes. Thanks to its high buoyancy, it allows a high inclusion rate of base mix when producing matching ‘match the hatch’ wafters. Please refer to the guide below for the recommended ratios for different hook bait sizes. These are guidelines only and can be adjusted to suit your own preferred level of buoyancy and rig setup.
Made with milk and egg proteins, along with high-quality milk powders, this mix offers excellent leakage and takes on flavours and attractors extremely well. It is easy to use and roll, with a firm yet workable texture that allows use with a bait needle without excessive force.
15mm Hook Bait
Produces a well-balanced wafter when used with a Thinking Anglers Size 4 Curved Shank Hook and Micro Rig Swivel, based on our own testing. As every base mix differs in density, your results may vary. Use this as a starting point and adjust the ratio to achieve your preferred level of buoyancy.
18mm Hook Bait
Produces a well-balanced wafter when used with a Thinking Anglers Size 4 Curved Shank Hook and Micro Rig Swivel, based on our own testing. As every base mix differs in density, your results may vary. Use this as a starting point and adjust the ratio to achieve your preferred level of buoyancy.
NOTE: These are guidelines, ratios can be altered accordingly. Adding more base mix will lower the buoyancy of the finished hookbait.
15mm Hook Bait
Produces a pop up that is still buoyant enough when used with a Thinking Anglers Size 4 Curved Shank Hook and Micro Rig Swivel, based on our own testing. As every base mix differs in density, your results may vary. Use this as a starting point and adjust the ratio to achieve your preferred level of buoyancy.
18mm Hook Bait
Produces a pop up that is still buoyant enough when used with a Thinking Anglers Size 4 Curved Shank Hook and Micro Rig Swivel, based on our own testing. As every base mix differs in density, your results may vary. Use this as a starting point and adjust the ratio to achieve your preferred level of buoyancy.
NOTE: These ratios are intended as a starting point and can be adjusted to achieve your preferred level of buoyancy. Increasing the proportion of base mix will gradually reduce the buoyancy of the finished hook bait. If too much base mix is incorporated, the hook bait may not remain buoyant for the required duration. Trial and error may be necessary to achieve the perfect balance for your chosen base mix and rig setup.
IMPORTANT: Always weigh both liquids and powders accurately using digital scales capable of measuring to at least 0.1g.
The standard mixing ratio for this wafter mix is 1.46g powder to 1g total liquid. This ratio has been developed to provide the ideal consistency, workability and finished buoyancy.
When incorporating additional liquids or powdered additives such as flavours, oils, liquid foods, amino acids or powdered attractors, the ratio may require slight adjustment.
As a starting point for customised recipes, reduce the ratio to approximately 1.35g powder per 1g total liquid, then fine tune until your preferred dough consistency is achieved.
The inclusion rates below are intended as a guide and can be adjusted to achieve your preferred colour intensity.
Standard Colours
Fluoro Colours
White Colour
Pastel Colours
Iron Oxide Colours
Note: For the most even colour distribution, place the dry mix and dyes into a sealed bag, trap some air inside and shake thoroughly before adding any liquids.
Some flavours simply are not compatible with pop-up and wafter mixes and can significantly affect the binding properties of the dough.
If this occurs, try one of the following:
Some flavours can only be applied to the finished hook baits because they interfere with the binding process too much to be incorporated into the mix.
For maximum attraction, we recommend boosting finished hook baits with flavours and additional liquid attractors after boiling. During the boiling process, some attractants are inevitably lost, while the coagulated egg albumen locks in a proportion of the remaining liquids, reducing their leakage. Applying flavours and attractors to the finished hook baits maximises leakage and overall attraction.
Note: Allow the hook baits to dry until they still retain a slight amount of flexibility before reapplying additional flavours or liquids. These can be applied multiple times to further increase attraction.
Batch Yield: Approximately 250g of finished hook baits. Simply halve all ingredients to produce approximately 125g.
12mm – 60 seconds
15mm – 1½–2 minutes
18mm –2–2.5 minutes
Proper drying is essential. Air dry your hook baits for a minimum of 24 hours before storing, allowing longer during colder or more humid conditions. The lower the remaining moisture content, the greater the resistance to mould.
Avoid over-drying your hook baits. Excessive drying can make them brittle and prone to cracking when squeezed. We prefer our finished hook baits to retain a slight amount of flexibility, allowing them to bounce back slightly rather than becoming stone hard.
Coarse ground tigernuts contain tigernut flour and small/medium pieces of tigernut, Made from 100% tigernuts. We advise these coarse ground tigernuts to be soaked and cooked like particles due the large pieces of tigernuts.
CAUTION: All dry particles and nuts will absorb water and expand once submerged, for this reason they MUST all be prepared correctly (Soaked for a given time and cooked for a given time). Failure to prepare properly can be deadly to fish.
TO PREPARE: Soak for a minimum of 24 hours then boil vigorously for 30 minutes.
Note: Once cooked you can also add liquid foods, oils or bait additives of your choice to add even more attraction.
Betaine Anhydrous is the natural version which is widely used in the human food, animal food and aquaculture industry. Betaine is not only highly attractive it also has great nutritional and palatability properties to foods and baits. Betaine Anhydrous forces induced heavy feeding and can be added to all baits, boilies, groundbaits, base mixes, spot mixes and pellets.
Being totally water soluble lends its self to being used in liquids.
Also simply wet your hookbaits and then dip them in betaine, or sprinkle over frozen boilies, as they thaw it draws this highly attractive soluble powder in to the baits.
Recommended inclusion level is up to 2% – 20g kg base mix.
Recommended inclusion level in liquids 20g per L
Turmeric is an indian spice normally found in curries. This spice has proved itself exceptional in bait production as it contains products that fight infections. Turmeric contains a natural yellow pigment that will turn baits a yellow colour.
Recommend inclusion level is up to 20g per kg base mix.
*Our current stock is 12-80 mesh size.
L-Lysine is considered the top feeding trigger among single amino acids. It is considered as the most required amino acid for carp in a balanced or high nutritional value bait. As a single amino acid, L-Lysine has given the most intense feeding reaction in carp when tested along with the best olfactory stimulant.
Great for adding to bird food and nut base mixes. L-Lysine is soluble and can be dissolved into a liquid.
Recommended inclusion level is 2.5g to 15g per Kg of base mix.
The attraction value of Green Lipped Mussel Extract cannot be over stated. Inclusion rates vary from 1% upwards, with great results being achieved at higher levels. The attraction properties from this green lipped mussel can be used on their own to supply a natural aroma. With this green lipped mussel being de-fatted only the oil (fat) content has been reduced so that all the amino acids, proteins, vitamins and minerals are still available and actually become more accessible/digestible to the fish.
Recommend inclusion level is up to 30g / 50g per kg base mix, some have also had great success with much higher inclusion rates.
A rather new feed inducing stimulant used in carp fishing. This ultra soluble (80%/90%), highly attractive and very digestible powder is one not to be over looked. It will enhance the palatability which in turn creates a much higher feed intake. This extremely attractive powders is packed with free form L-amino acids; up to around 50% making it a great addition to any formulation.
Product character: lightbrown very fine powder, savoury taste, appr 80%-90% water-soluble, pH 4.5 / 4.8
Recommended inclusion level is up to 5% (50g) per kg base mix, depending on other solubles being used within your mix. For hook baits add up to 100g per kg base mix.
Great multi-range product, useful for spod/stick/base/pellet mixes etc. Also great for coating/dusting hook baits.

Potassium sorbate (E202) is present in many human food stuffs and drinks. It has also been tested as safe to use in aquatic environments. Can be used by dissolving in to your liquids/liquid egg to preserve your boilie and paste mixes. Potassium sorbate is ideal to use in boilies as it survives the boiling process – it has a melting point of 134°C and a boiling point of 228°C…well above the temperature of boiling baits.
Recommended inclusion level is 0.1% of your liquid. (450ml liquid – 1g potassium sorbate). You can also add citric acid which will increase the preserving properties. When using potassium sorbate we advise testing small batches to see how long your unique mix with stay preserved.
It is also important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
