Description

Citric Acid is an odourless, crystalline powder it has been used in bait manufacture for decades. It is used across the human food industry as a preservative and is also used to stabilise colours. It is a highly stimulatory additive for carp/cyprinids, also enhances fruity flavours.

It is best to dissolve the citric acid in warm before adding to your eggs, remember to stir well once added.

Recommend inclusion level is up to 0.5% – (5g) per kg base mix. Remember using too much will make the bait repellant.

All our flavours are designed based on taste rather than aroma. Flavour formulations based on scent are created with entirely different chemical compounds, but our focus has always been on delivering flavours that taste pleasant rather than simply smell strong. This is a personal preference, and we stand by our approach.

    Moreover, we only produce flavours that are feed-safe. All our products can be included safely in animal feed (free offerings). Our flavour house adhere’s strictly to regulatory standards, which does require removing certain chemicals from time to time, these chemicals are removed from the food & feed register for a reason. We follow the experts guidance and prioritise safety for both humans and aquatic life.

    Our hook baits undergo a proprietary, in-house, three-stage, high-pressure vacuum infusion process. We believe this method is the only way to deeply infuse liquids into every core of each bait:

    • First stage: Infusion with our in-house amino acid feed stimulant
    • Second stage: Infusion with our mixed sweeteners and betaine anhydrous liquid
    • Third stage: Infusion with our premium-grade flavour enhancers

     

    These baits are designed to release food signals through the liquid foods and stimulants for an extended period, thanks to our high-quality formulations, as well as trigger a pH shift signal from one of our infused liquids.

    We also offer our in-house 30ml flavour enhancers, ideal for boosting all types of baits.

    A rather new feed inducing stimulant used in carp fishing. This ultra soluble (80%/90%), highly attractive and very digestible powder is one not to be over looked.     We have sourced this fantastic pure NHDC sweetener, this has been brought in for use in a wide variety of our premium in house products. This fantastic sweetener has a slight cream taste and is around 1500/1800 times sweeter than table sugar. This ultra strong sweetener won’t leave any bitter after taste and lingers in the mouth for some time. An important synergetic quality of NHDC is the enhancing sweet effect if it is combined with other sweeteners. This is many times higher than if you solely use NHDC or a single sweetener.     This fantastic fermented shrimp paste is a very similar makeup to liquid belachan. This paste is more pure than the solid belachan block version due to not having any bulk fillers and also takes away the hassle of grating it down. The shrimp content is also very high around 65%, the shrimp is crushed then salt added for preservative, once dried it is then mixed with Lactic Acid Bacteria and left to ferment, whilst being left its proteins are broken down which then realise a wide range of free form amino acids, used by many anglers in there baits and mixes, one definitely not to nee over looked.

    Recommend inclusion level is up to 40g per kg base mix.

    Potassium sorbate (E202) is present in many human food stuffs and drinks. It has also been tested as safe to use in aquatic environments. Can be used by dissolving in to your liquids/liquid egg to preserve your boilie and paste mixes. Potassium sorbate is ideal to use in boilies as it survives the boiling process – it has a melting point of 134°C and a boiling point of 228°C…well above the temperature of boiling baits.

    Recommended inclusion level is 0.1% of your liquid. (450ml liquid – 1g potassium sorbate). You can also add citric acid which will increase the preserving properties.  When using potassium sorbate we advise testing small batches to see how long your unique mix with stay preserved.

    It is also important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.

    We have sourced a new intense sweetener which contains a unique blend of natural sweeteners, flavour enhancers & talin, creating a fantastic additive for taking a bitter edge of any bait/feed, greatly enhancing palatability. Inclusion levels depend on other ingredients in the mix and the initial strength of bitterness in the bait. A suitable starting point for inclusion is 0.05%, therefore equating to 1kg of dry mix requiring 0.5g of sweetener. It is advisable to use the minimum amount of sweetener required to balance the bait sweet/bitter taste.

    Dosage direction per kg dry mix: 0.5 – 2g per kg base mix.

    Product character: white or almost white odourless powder. Water soluble in water, intense sweet taste, heat stable.
