Description

Blood Plasma is a highly functional protein ingredient derived from porcine blood, containing approximately 80% protein with an excellent amino acid profile. Long established within the bait industry, Blood Plasma is particularly valued for its exceptional binding, firming and heat-induced gelling properties.

When used in a boilie mix, Blood Plasma helps produce a strong, resilient finished bait with a firm outer skin while allowing the centre to remain comparatively soft. This makes it particularly useful when increased durability is required without creating an excessively dense bait that restricts the release of soluble attractors.

Its excellent binding properties can improve the structure and integrity of a base mix, making Blood Plasma a useful addition to mixes that are difficult to roll or require extra firmness. It is also naturally light in colour with a very neutral aroma, meaning it can be incorporated without significantly altering the colour or flavour profile of the finished bait.

Blood Plasma is especially useful for producing hard hookbaits, durable boilies and strengthened pastes, and can be used alongside other milk, fish, animal or vegetable proteins as part of a balanced base mix.

Recommended Inclusion Levels

For general boilie and base mix applications, we recommend 3–5% (30–50g per kg of base mix).

For hard hookbaits and extra-durable baits, inclusion can be increased to up to 10% (100g per kg of base mix).

Top Tip: Blood Plasma is also an excellent addition to paste mixes where additional binding and firmness are required. Start at a lower inclusion and increase gradually until the desired consistency is achieved.

*Our fishmeal base mixes contain our genuine premium Norwegian LT-94 & Newly sourced feed stimulants.

Over the last few years, we have worked tremendously hard sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, liquids, and additives available from all over the globe. Many of our new products are now exclusive to AA Baits, which allows us to formulate and offer the very best, premium quality in-house mixes, available on the market. That being said, we do keep a handful of specially sourced products close to our chest, making our mixes stand out from the rest 😉. In order for all our customers to receive a premium mix at a very fair price, we have always supplied direct. Cutting out the middle man allows us to operate using all our finest ingredients and stimulants. This also allows our finest products to be used at optimal levels.

This fish-meal base mix contains a large amount of high quality Norwegian (LT-94) fishmeal, milk and egg proteins, kelp meal, soya flour and CLO, this mix has been formulated to provide a balanced food source that is suitable for use in summer and winter months. Rolls easy and works very well.

This mix requires approximately 9 eggs per Kg of dry mix.

All our base mix’s are tried, tested and roll perfectly. We use only the highest quality ingredients available, in all optimum levels formulating an excellent food source which in turn keeps the fish coming back for more as they become familiar with the nutritional value of the bait.

Contains : Large Amount of Norwegian LT94 Fishmeal, Salmon Fishmeal, CLO, Kelp Meal and milk & egg proteins to name just a few ingredients in this mix.

Our mixes do arrive ready to roll, but many of our customers do add their own ingredients and additives to make it a unique formulation. Please bear in mind altering the mix may affect the rolling so some trial and error might be required depending on the products being added.

Example – Our Base Mix 85% , Variety of chosen ingredients 15%. Please see below as an example. Happy rolling and tight lines.

    AABaits Basemix – 85%

    Krill Meal – 5%

    Brocacel yeast – 2.5%

    GLM Powder – 2.5%

    Spices – 2.5%

    Betaine 2.5%

TIP: When making your own boilies it gives you the chance to NOT boil some. This allows you to have baits that haven’t been boiled, which in turn looses some goodness. But most of all it allows these baits to break down and disperse all the soluble attractors and feed stimulants into your swim much faster. These baits would require being kept in a bucket/container to save being crushed/broken once dried. Again these baits wouldn’t be hard enough to be used in a throwing stick.

Soluble Pea Protein 82% – Food Grade

Our Soluble Pea Protein 82% is a premium food-grade, high-protein and water-soluble pea protein, offering an exciting ingredient for modern fishing bait, boilie and aquaculture formulations.

Containing an impressive 82% protein, this refined pea protein provides a highly concentrated source of plant-based protein while also offering excellent solubility. This makes it particularly interesting for bait formulations where both nutritional value and the release of soluble attraction into the water are important.

A Highly Soluble Protein for Fishing Bait

Unlike our coarser 75% Feed Grade Pea Protein, this premium food-grade version is much finer and significantly more soluble.

When incorporated into boilies and other fishing baits, its soluble fractions can begin releasing into the surrounding water, helping create a readily available food signal around the bait.

This makes Soluble Pea Protein 82% particularly useful when formulating high-attract boilies, hookbaits, pastes, groundbaits, stick mixes and other soluble bait products.

    A Sustainable Alternative Protein Source

Pea protein is becoming increasingly popular throughout the aquaculture, animal nutrition and fishing bait industries as manufacturers search for sustainable alternative protein sources.

Its high protein content and useful amino acid profile make it an excellent ingredient for combining with fishmeals, marine proteins and other nutritional ingredients. It can also be used to replace a proportion of the fishmeal within certain formulations, helping diversify the overall protein profile of the finished bait.

For bait makers, this provides an interesting way of introducing a high-quality plant protein without sacrificing overall protein content, while its solubility offers an additional attraction benefit.

    Key Benefits

    • 82% protein
    • Premium food-grade quality
    • High water solubility
    • Fine, refined consistency
    • Excellent source of soluble protein
    • Sustainable plant-based protein source
    • Useful alternative or complementary protein to fishmeal
    • Helps increase the soluble protein fraction of fishing baits
    • Excellent for nutritional and high-attract formulations
    • Suitable for both commercial bait manufacturers and home bait makers

    Fishing Bait Applications

Soluble Pea Protein 82% can be incorporated into a wide variety of fishing bait formulations, including:

    Boilies • Hookbaits • Pastes • Groundbaits • Stick Mixes • PVA Bag Mixes • High-Attract Baits

It works particularly well alongside fishmeals, hydrolysed proteins, milk proteins, yeasts and other soluble ingredients when creating nutritionally attractive baits with excellent leakage characteristics.

    Recommended Inclusion

Suggested starting inclusion: 50–250g per kg of base mix.

Lower inclusion levels can be used to introduce an additional soluble protein fraction to an existing recipe, while higher levels allow Soluble Pea Protein to contribute more significantly to the overall protein content and characteristics of the finished bait.

As with any functional bait ingredient, we recommend testing inclusion levels within your individual formulation to achieve the desired binding, texture, solubility and breakdown characteristics.

Whether you’re looking for a soluble protein for boilie making, a sustainable alternative to fishmeal, or simply a new high-protein ingredient to enhance an existing formulation, our Food Grade Soluble Pea Protein 82% offers bait makers an extremely versatile option.

This soluble peanut protein is with out doubt the very best nutty meal/flour on the market today by a long way, we would go as far as saying ‘game changer’ due to its solubility. This meal/flour has an extremely attractive nutty aroma and has a much higher protein content of (50% protein) than standard peanut meals (28% protein), it also has a much lower fat content of around 12% were standard peanut meal has around a 40% fat content. This leads itself to a great all year round ingredient, it is a fantastic addition to any birdfood/nutty type mixes, a must have in our opinion.

*Used in all of our nutty in house mixes.

Recommend inclusion level is up to 20% – (200g) per kg base mix, can also be used in stick mixes and groundbaits.

Kelp Meal is a natural ingredient that adds nutrition and texture to your carp bait. It contains a range of useful vitamins and minerals. These include vitamin B12, which many common bait ingredients lack.

Kelp Meal also adds a firm crunchy texture to finished baits. Carp use their powerful throat teeth to crush food as they feed. This extra crunch can make your bait more interesting and add another natural food signal.

You can use Kelp Meal in boilies, pastes and other carp bait mixes. It blends easily with other dry ingredients and works well in many base mix recipes.

Kelp Meal is ideal for bait makers who want to add a natural marine ingredient to their mix. It helps improve texture while adding valuable nutrients to the finished bait.

Recommended inclusion level: Add up to 15% (150g per kg of base mix).
