Tips
Remember our sweet whey powder can be used to add binding to any mix. Start by adding 5% – 50g per kg mix, you can then adjust accordingly. Adding more will increase the binding, vice versa adding less will decrease the break down time. This is to be added to the dry mix, then mixed very well before wetting.
We recommend slowly adding water/liquid additives to any mix, be careful not to add too much water. A nice fluffy texture that still breaks down is ideal. Too much water can make a mix go hard. More water can always be added if required, but it can’t be removed.
1L pump spray bottle is ideal for wetting mixes, also great for mixing liquid additives with water before wetting mix.
Once desired texture is achieved keep in an air tight bucket/container, this helps stop it from drying out.

This pop-up mix will make very buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant in excess of 48 hours. Made with Milk and Egg Proteins thus increasing leakage, it also takes on attractors and flavours extremely well, you will find it easy to use and roll. It has a firm texture but remains soft enough to use with a bait needle without excessive force.
Simply add 40g Fluoro dye per kg plain pop-up mix to create fluorescent hook baits. For washed out add 20g white dye and 20g fluoro dye per kg pop up mix. These are recommendations and can be altered until you achieve your desired colour. Add both pop-up mix and your chosen dyes into a large plastic bag, then close bag trapping some air inside and shake well until mixed evenly.
For shelf life hook baits add 10-15ml of bait preserve per egg. It is important to remember the main part of the process is to dry your hook baits well prior to storing, usually a minimum of 48hrs, it can be slightly longer in the colder months due to extra moisture being in the air, the longer your hook baits are dried the less the moisture content will be helping to prevent mould growth.
One egg will take approximately 100-120 grams of pop-up mix. You will get approximately 5 pots of pop ups per 250 grams of pop-up mix once made.
This pop up mix needs to be boiled for 90 seconds.

Belachan block is fermented shrimp paste, it is a salty, strong smelling block that is used to create deep flavours in Malaysian dishes… and carp find it highly attractive. We have formulated a particle preserve liquid for those who want to turn their fresh particle into shelf life. As well as preserving the particle it is also packed with wide variety of trace minerals. It will take roughly 2L to cover 5kg of particle. We have managed to source some fantastic liquid egg. This fresh liquid egg has been made from newly laid fresh hen eggs and hasn’t been produced from seconds (hen eggs that have been cracked or broken). The liquid is quickly produced then blast frozen giving a rough self life of 5/7 days if kept refrigerated once defrosted. Our liquid bait preserve can be added (mixed together thoroughly) once defrosted extending shelf life.
This will leave our warehouse fully frozen and will take over 36hours to fully defrost.
We do ship all our goods on a next day service but please do bear in mind that courier delays do happen from time to time.

This pop-up mix will make very buoyant hook baits which will remain buoyant in excess of 48 hours.
